A Country Christmas at La Villita

On December 11, 2011 the Door In The Wall, Inc., a nonprofit organization had it’s 13th Annual “A Country Christmas at La Villita” at the Villita Assembly Building. Over 500 people attended the event of music, fellowship, and food. Santa was there along with Lucky the Clown (Christopher Churb) making balloon animals for the kids and kids at heart. The Spurs Coyote visited with families, played with the band and posed for pictures. Everyone enjoyed tamale plates, salad, and drinks prepared by DITW kitchen volunteers headed by Troy Banik. Kiolbassa Sausage and tables of baked goods were on sale to help with costs associated with this event. Frozen turkeys, Christmas plants, and gift bags were handed out as door prizes. Music was provided by Meyers Anderson Band that played Country and Christmas favorites that put everyone in a holiday mood. This year TDVA donated monies to purchase gifts for children. Congratulations to Program Director Barbara Blair and the Door In The Wall volunteers for a successful event! Visit DITW at www.ditwtexas.org to view all our pictures from the event.
